About Sierra
Big miles, good people, great outfits.
Sierra grew up in Michigan, landed in Las Vegas, and races for the Aravaipa Racing Team. In 2023 she won the USATF 100 Mile and 24 Hour National Championships in the same year. In 2026 she took the Umstead 100 and set a new women’s course record at the Denali 135 up in Alaska.
She has also run Western States, Badwater 135, Javelina, JFK 50, Across the Years, and the Wyoming Range 100. Some of those days went about as well as a day can go. Others really did not, and she talks about those just as openly.
The rest of the time she is chasing desert sunrises, dragging friends out for long runs, finding the best gluten-free pastry in whatever town the race is in, and putting real thought into her start line outfit. As she puts it: you can’t always win, but you can always look good doing it.
“You can’t always win, but you can always look good doing it.”
